Development of a New Web Portal with Instant Payments System (SIC5 Project)

The Problem

With evolving regulatory requirements and the increasing demand for real-time payments, the challenge was to develop a modern and efficient payment system for the Swiss financial sector. At the same time, the existing web portal was not fully aligned with user needs—it lacked a well-structured role model, efficient master data management, and a user-friendly interface. These shortcomings led to higher training efforts, potential errors, and inefficiencies for banks and financial service providers.

The Solution

As part of the SIC5 Project, a state-of-the-art web portal was developed, incorporating the latest usability and security standards. In my roles as Project Manager, Requirements Engineer, and Usability Designer, I was responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing a granular role model to ensure clear differentiation of user rights and responsibilities.
  • Optimizing master data management to enable more efficient processing and administration of customer data.
  • Creating a modern, intuitive user interface to enhance accessibility and improve the overall user experience.
  • Integrating an Instant Payments system, allowing banks to process real-time transactions within seconds.

Development of Reporting and Automation for Debt Management

The Problem

In the field of debt management, monthly invoicing and data processing were highly manual and time-consuming. The existing system lacked automated workflows for handling large volumes of data, leading to inefficiencies, increased processing times, and a higher risk of errors. Additionally, the legacy system Ikaros needed to be migrated to a more efficient workflow automation platform, while repetitive periodic tasks had to be optimized to ensure greater accuracy and scalability.

The Solution

As Project Manager, Requirements Engineer, and Software Engineer, I led the development and automation of reporting and workflow processes, ensuring a more structured and efficient debt management system. My key contributions included:

  • Implementing a new reporting system to optimize monthly debt collection invoices, ensuring greater accuracy and transparency.
  • Migrating from Ikaros to an advanced workflow automation system, allowing seamless and efficient data processing.
